The corsair car show at main st, Lordship, Stratford. lot near former Avco factory
The Corsair Restoration Benefit Car Show will be Sunday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., at 595 Main St., across from the former Army Engine Plant.
Admission is free and there is a $15 car contest entry fee. All proceeds will go to the Corsair restoration Project — the restoration of a World War II fighter plane. There will be pizza, grinders, trophies, a 50/50 raffle, prizes, and more.
Some of the finest vintage and classic cars Connecticut has to offer will be on display — from vintage classics to American muscle cars and everything in between, according to organizers.
Currently being restored by the Connecticut Air & Space Center, in Stratford, the Corsair is being finished to the highest static museum quality.
Only at this event will visitors be able to view an original Goodyear-built WWII Corsair, directly across the street from the former Chance Vought Plant where the Corsair was designed, tested and flown. Over 7,000 Vought built Corsairs rolled off the assembly line here.
The Benefit Car Show is presented by Stanziales Restaurant and hosted by The Crusin East Car Club.
